Design Portfolio

A collection of projects completed over the past 15 years

Roger studied Industrial Design at TWR in Johannesburg, he obtained a N.Dip 3Dimensional design in 1997 and a B.Tech Degree a year later. He freelanced for a few months after completing his studies. He was later employed by Zaptronix, an Information Technology company where he and two other designers were responsible for setting up an in-house design studio.

In the few months of his employment at Zaptronix he was involved in a variety of diverse projects. He designed housings for electronic meters and equipment developed by Zaptronix but by far the most interesting projects were the virtual interfaces he designed for their touch screen kiosks. He later moved on to a large multinational design consultancy known then as KSDP Pentagraph (now 'The Brand Union'). The experience gained during the years working there were pivotal to the rest of his career.

He worked on some truly incredible projects including a livery pitch for Vodafone's debut as a Formula 1 sponsor. He later moved on to join a small manufacturing and design company. As the company expanded into new offices he had the opportunity to design the new offices and oversee the building process. Almost four years later he left this position to return to the world of freelance design.
